International Urbanism Workshops

During this international school, students will be trained to urbanistic heritage enhancement in Konstancin-Jeziorna, which was in the 1920’s a leading experiment of hygienist urbanism.

Nowadays this heritage is torn between degradations resulting from its occupation since World War II and unauthorized renovations performed by new landlords of the local elite. This historical heritage also comes with a threaten environmental heritage: a wetland (Jeziorka valley) and a protected forest (Kabaty wood).

The Master’s in Urbanism students will have the opportunity to work on real orders. Working in bi-national groups, they will prepare a strategy to promote the value of the heritage for local authorities.
